High Court refuses to ban CJP protest in Connaught Place, instructions to police to maintain law and order
Delhi High Court has refused to stay CJP's proposed demonstration at Connaught Place. The court directed Delhi Police to control the protest as per law and maintain law and order. Traders had expressed fear of impact on business, traffic and security during the festive season.
The court also considered the right to peaceful demonstration as important.
