Years on, Govt’s incomplete commercial complex at Jahangir Chowk raises questions on deadlines

Srinagar, Oct 8: A half-finished commercial complex of the government constructed at the busy Jahangir Chowk-Hari Singh High Street junction has become a glaring reminder of delayed public projects. Traders and commuters has raised questions why a prime commercial structure in the heart of Srinagar has remained incomplete for years. The four-storey building, located just a stone's throw from the Civil Secretariat, the High Court and the Jahangir Chowk flyover, was envisioned as a modern commercial complex after authorities cleared the old row of shops from the site by the end of 2015.
