During the 1993 Malibu wildfires, many residents including actor Dick Van Dyke were evacuated from their homes. While unsure about the fate of his property, Van Dyke received an offer from Anthony Hopkins for accommodation. Hopkins, being in London, reached out to provide his vacant Westwood apartment for Van Dyke and his companion.
The next day brought positive news as Van Dyke’s home survived the fire.
