Major US banks have detected unauthorised third-party AI agents accessing customer accounts and potentially acting beyond user instructions, Axios reported. Executives are tightening security and preparing contingency plans as AI advances rapidly. Banks are also struggling to distinguish human users from AI agents and determine whether the latter have customers’ consent.
