Sonbhadra tanker overturns with 24,000 litres diesel; locals rush to collect fuel despite fire risk
A diesel-laden tanker overturned in Markundi Valley of Sonbhadra district due to brake failure. Diesel spilled onto the road, causing panic among local residents and passersby. People rushed to collect the leaking diesel while traffic was disrupted for nearly half an hour.
Police and fire brigade worked together to manage the spill and restore safety. The tanker driver sustained only minor injuries in the incident.
