Report: Iran transfers $200 million to Hezbollah to assist displaced Lebanese

Hezbollah received $200 million from Iran last month to assist Lebanese families displaced by the war with Israel, according to two informed sources, despite tightening US sanctions on Tehran and increasing difficulties in transferring funds. Intermediaries involved in facilitating the transfer said they charged a commission of 20 percent, with one describing the fee as four times the usual rate. Asked to comment, a Hezbollah official confirmed that funds had been secured and said a distribution plan would be announced in the coming days, without specifying the source of the money.
