NNC calls for observance of Naga National Martyrs’ Day on October 18

Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) has called upon Naga people in the homeland and across the world to observe Naga National Martyrs’ Day on October 18 , in remembrance of those who “sacrificed their lives for the cause of Naga sovereignty.”In an appeal issued through its Information and Publicity Wing, the NNC described the observance as a “national obligation and duty of every Naga” to honour the thousands of martyrs who, it stated, laid down their lives in the struggle for Naga freedom from 1952 to the present.
