Netflix banks on ex-Disney exec for new content
Netflix has appointed Peter Rice as the new chief content officer starting on October 26. Rice, previously at Disney, will manage the platform's content strategy, including series and films. Bela Bajaria, who served in the role since January 2023, is departing the company.
This leadership change follows Netflix's announcement of laying off about 1,000 employees, representing a 6% workforce reduction.
