Mumbai Police Detain 600 Ahead Of CJP-Backed Protest At August Kranti Maidan; Tushar Gandhi, Varun Sardesai Among Those Held

Mumbai Police detained around 600 people on Saturday ahead of a proposed protest supporting the Cockroach Janata Party's agitation against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Those detained included Tushar Gandhi, Kasturi Gandhi and Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Varun Sardesai. Police also stopped a protest at Nana Chowk, detaining around 400 people.
