Mumbai: BMC To Impose ₹25,000 Fine On Vehicles Transporting Construction Waste Without Active Tracking Devices

The BMC will impose fines of ₹25,000 per offence from October 12 on vehicles transporting construction and excavation waste without authorised, active tracking devices. Mumbai's MDCTS has recorded 234 registrations since August 24. The system aims to track debris from construction sites to authorised disposal facilities as the city generates nearly 8,000 metric tonnes daily.
