Mumbai: BMC Removes Encroaching Shop, Restores Access To Amboli's Historic Plague-Era Cemetery In Andheri

The BMC has removed a shop blocking access to Amboli’s historic Plague Cemetery, owned by St Blaise Church, after years of efforts by residents and church representatives. The demolition, carried out during S V Road widening, will enable an eight-foot-wide, 20-foot-long access road and may allow the plot to be used for future burials.
