Maharashtra FDA suspends licences of 10 eateries, including Islam Gymkhana outlets and JJ Hospital canteens

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has suspended the licences of ten food establishments in Mumbai. Inspections revealed various violations in food safety and hygiene regulations. Additionally, the FDA seized over Rs 1.09 crore worth of prohibited food products across the state.
In total, 13 individuals were arrested and 12 FIRs were registered during this crackdown. Similar actions were also taken against substandard food stock in other divisions.
