Mike Ditka has died at 86, his family announced Oct. 9. The Chicago Bears icon built an uncommon NFL legacy, first starring at tight end before returning as head coach and leading the 1985 Bears to victory in Super Bowl XX.
He later coached the New Orleans Saints and spent years as an NFL television analyst.
