Shillong, Oct 19: The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, has informed that, in pursuance of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act, 2026, which came into force on October 1, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department), any birth or death reported more than two years after its occurrence requires
