Karnataka to track doctors’ night-time attendance through geofencing app from November 1
Karnataka government will implement a geofencing-based attendance system for its officials starting November 1, 2026. This initiative requires doctors at taluk hospitals and PHCs to mark attendance using the Kartavya app. Those on leave or with official duties outside their headquarters will be exempt from this requirement.
Officials failing to comply without permission will face disciplinary actions under civil service rules.
