IP University 21st sports championship concludes with 10,000 students, introduces shooting events
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University concluded its 21st Inter-Collegiate Sports Championship 2026 on October 17 in New Delhi. Around 10,000 students from more than 60 affiliated institutes and university schools participated in the three-day event. Competitions included athletics, basketball, kabaddi, chess, powerlifting and yogasana.
The championship introduced 10-metre Air Pistol and Air Rifle shooting events for men and women for the first time. Winners received medals and trophies at the closing ceremony.
