India has committed billions of dollars in semiconductors, electronics manufacturing and artificial intelligence in a bid to become a global technology powerhouse. India's electronics production rose from about $31 billion in 2014-15 to $133 billion in 2024-25, according to the government, which wants the country to become a tech manufacturing hub.
