‘Ilhan Omar’ may not be her real name, report claims; surname matches ex-husband’s, who is also rumoured to be her brother

Ilhan Omar, the Minnesota congresswoman, is reportedly using a name other than her birth name. Allegations have surfaced that her marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi was an attempt to obtain a green card. Omar has denied the claims about her relationship with Elmi being familial, stating they are not related.

Despite these accusations, a spokesperson declared that Ilhan Omar is indeed her real name.
