ICAR-KVK Longleng trains farmers in oyster mushroom cultivation

Longleng, October 10 (MExN): The ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Longleng, conducted a training programme on oyster mushroom cultivation at Dungkhao village in Longleng district on October 9 to promote mushroom farming as a sustainable livelihood and income-generating activity for rural households. The training was conducted by Shubhendu Kumar Behera, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) at ICAR-KVK Longleng. Dr Kalu Ram, SMS, ICAR-KVK, provided technical guidance on post-harvest handling, processing and value addition to minimise losses and enhance farmers’ income.
