Gujarat to Get Rs 2,000 Crore Central Grant for 2030 Commonwealth Games
New Delhi: The Union Sports Ministry has proposed a grant-in-aid of Rs 2,000 crore to the Gujarat government to organise the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad. The financial assistance has been included in the revised guidelines under the Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSF) scheme. Ahmedabad secured the hosting rights for the centenary edition of the Commonwealth Games last year, defeating Nigeria in the bidding process.
