FDA cracks down on unsafe street food

Srinagar, Oct 10: Food & Drugs Administration (FDA), J&K, continues its special inspection, enforcement and awareness drive targeting street food vendors operating in busy markets and high-footfall areas across all the districts to ensure the availability of safe, hygienic and wholesome food to consumers. In a statement, the department said, during the drive, 106 inspections were conducted, 18 cases were compounded and fines amounting to ₹20,000 were imposed.
