Defence Ministry may suspend dealings with SMPP

The defence ministry plans to suspend all business dealings with SMPP due to an ongoing CBI investigation. Allegations involve bribing officials to secure a significant contract with Munitions India Limited. The new guidelines allow immediate action following an FIR from the CBI or other agencies.

Consequently, all allied firms and partners may also face suspension under these rules.
