Chennai Weather: Chennai rains are expected to continue, with the IMD warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds across several Tamil Nadu districts. Schools in Chennai and four neighbouring districts have been declared closed on October 21 following heavy overnight rain. A low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to bring further showers across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal in the coming days.
