Centre & states to draft rules for existing arrest cases under GST
The Centre will collaborate with states to create standard procedures for handling arrest cases. Starting April 1, 2027, an invoice management system will be mandatory, minimizing human errors during digital matching. A quarterly review of GST refund risk assessment will also be implemented to maintain consistency across jurisdictions.
The proposed changes aim to decriminalize several GST offences and decrease litigation for businesses.
